Cute DIY Candy Cane Treat

Image
Want to add something cute to your gifts? Why not candy cane white chocolate hearts? They're really easy to make.  All you need is 2 candy canes (per treat) and some white chocolate. Place 2 candy canes in a heart shape on a plate or baking paper sheet. Melt the white chocolate and pour it in the heart. You can add sprinkles or tiny pieces of candy cane. Then put the heart(s) in the fridge and let it harden for a few hours. When packing the treats you can be as creative as you can. Happy holidays!! xoxo

Simple DIY Marble Clay Bowl

Image
I wanted to make something unique and handmade for Christmas presents, so after I had browsed Pinterest for hours, I found cute DIY marble bowls. It seemed the easiest out of other DIY's.  What you need: Modelling clay  I chose air drying clay, because it's less messier. You can buy many different colours of clay. For the base colour I bought white, other colours I used were blue, pink and black. Bowls Basically this is your choice. I used bowls to get the shape. Gloss varnish and a paintbrush Varnish gives bowls a nice finish. First take some pieces of different colour clay and roll them into strips. Base colour pieces should be the biggest. Then twist the strips and roll them into one big strip. Make it into a ball and roll it out until it is as thick as you want the bowl to be. After that, cut out a circle or any shape you want and then I'd suggest placing it in a bowl for shape. My clay was supposed to dry in 24 hours, but I didn't

Dove Pure Care Dry Oil For Hair - Review

Image
Taking care of long hair isn't that easy. Thanks to hair oil I can tame, nourish and make my hair ends look healthy. This is the first hair oil I've owned and I'm pretty happy with the results. Dove's hair oil is a nourishing treatment with African macadamia oil for all hair types. Since you only need 3-4 pumps of oil, it's gonna last for a pretty long time. The smell is strong and unpleasant for me, but after drying, it's less noticeable. Oil leaves my hair soft and shiny, it's not heavy, no buildup. Hair looks healthy and thick. For the price and quality, I think this is an amazing product.

Garnier PureActive Fruit Energy Scrub - Review

Image
In need for a new face scrub, I picked this up. Garnier PureActive Fruit Energy Daily Energising Gel Scrub unclogs & visibly tightens pores and gives skin a radiant glow. It contains extracts of grapefruit, pomegranate & vitamin C. It's for oily skin prone to imperfections. It's nice. Leaves my skin feeling nice and fresh, cleanses well, like a good face scrub should. Nothing really special.

OGX Luxurious Moroccan Argan Créme Shampoo and Conditioner - Review

Image
OGX is my favourite hair product brand, so I just had to buy a new shampoo from them. They have such a wide range of products, but one that stood out to me was luxurious morocca argan créme . Since it's cold outside, my hair tends to get dry, luckily this shampoo is extra moisturising. Indulge in argan oil, whipped into an opulent, decadent créme to lavish each strand in moisture, smoothing and nourishing the outer cuticle for super-hydrated, soft, shiny hair. The scent is pretty strong, sharp and chemical. I was expecting better. But when my hair was completely dry, WOW... Silky, shiny, soft, hydrated hair. The results were amazing. My hair also feels thicker. I definitely recommend this.

Zoella Beauty - Review

Image
I just love Zoe. She is so cute. And when I heard she started Zoella Beauty, I just had to get my hands on her products. Unfortunately I have only three products, but I am very happy to have them. Since I don't live in the UK, I have been ordering from a website suggested by Zoe  http://www.feelunique.com  . I find this website really nice and comfortable, I usually get my packages in 1 to 2 weeks. But let's get to the stuff. The first thing I got was Let's Glow fragranced candle. I thought it was bigger, so when I opened the box, it was like what, is this really it?! It's pretty small and pricy for the size. But looks super cute. The fragrance is actually quite strong as I was hoping for more soft and gentle smell.  6,50€ There's written:  Create your own relaxing space and surround yourself with fragrance for a much needed wind down. This cute and calming candle will help free your mind with its gentle blend of white wood accents, sweet vanilla and soft

Random Hack Of The Day

When showering with hot/warm water, in the end of the shower, turn water to cold and rinse your hair, face and body. Switching water temperatures is good for your immune system. Cold water is good for hair, because it closes pores, seals in moisture, adds shine, but hot water is better for rinsing dirt. When warm water opens pores, then cold water closes them. Cold water improves circulation, eases stress and has other good benefits.

Eau Thermale Avéne Hydrance Optimale UV Light SPF 20 - Review

Image
So I bought this new moisturiser Avéne Hydrance Optimale . With my new skincare routine, I had to moisturise and protect my skin, so this moisturiser is perfect.   Avène Hydrance Optimale UV Light is a hydrating moisturiser to protect the skin from daily aggressions and help prevent skin ageing caused by the sun. For normal to combination dehydrated sensitive skin. Based on Meiboserin and Lipomucine® which increases coverage across the skin. It also contains sebo-absorbing capsules (2%) for a light mattifying effect and a matte finish. SPF 20. Paraben free. 29€ I just apply this in the morning after I cleanse my face. Cream absorbs really fast leaving my skin matte. I like how light this is, it's like barely there and also keeps my oily skin under control longer than other products I've used. Skin is nicely hydrated. Also this doesn't block pores and I haven't had any breakouts. Thumbs up!

New Skincare Routine

I finally visited a dermatologist. She quickly examined my face and gave me prescription acne treatments. I apply Duac Gel before bed and Dalacin® T in the morning.  She also told me to use only pharmacy skincare products. So I still use Eau Thermale Avéne Soap-less  Cleanser and a new product - Avéne Hydrance Optimale UV Light day cream. Can't wait to see the results!

My Essentials For Cold Weather

Image
As the days are getting colder, I always need to make sure that I have things, to help me survive. My hands get super dry, when it's cold and it's pretty uncomfortable, so I always try to have hand cream with me. My fave hand cream is Neutrogena 's Nourishing Hand Cream With Nordic Berry . This saved my hands, this has never irritated my skin, only makes them super soft and has a nice forest-y, nordic berry smell. My lips also get dry and I absolutely love lip balms. So my favourites are Maybelline's Baby Lips, EOS and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula lip balms. I think Palmer's lip balms are best for the colder days and their size is small, so those are good for travelling. Obviously gotta have some tissues. A scarf is a must have! Also a hat and mittens aren't bad. With cold weather my hair gets dry and weird, so an oil care product or leave-in conditioner saves me. Moisturising face always helps. I try to use a moisturising body wash, because I

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - Quick Review

Image
I needed a new mascara, but I didn't know which one to buy, so after reading many reviews about many different mascaras, I landed on this one. This mascara says that this will curl your lashes, make them longer and add volume. I was really excited to try this out, because Fleur de Force and Zoella had loved this.   So first I use the short bristle part of the mascara wand to add volume to the roots and then I turn to the longer side to curl and give length. When I have applied the mascara on my eyelashes, I take an old mascara's clean and dry mascara wand to separate some lashes and remove excess mascara. I really like the mascara's texture. Also when I went to the shower with this mascara, I didn't end up looking like a panda, because the mascara came off my lashes in little chunks. Overall I love the curl and length this mascara gives to my lashes. I would definitely recommend this.

OGX Shampoos And Conditioners - Review

Image
I am so in love with OGX hair products. I bought the OGX Argan Oil Renewing shampoo and conditioner, because of a post on 9GAG. And it was the best thing ever. After the first wash my hair was completely changed, it was shiny, silky and bright. So I have been using OGX products ever since and I definitely want to try out all the different products OGX has. Price 10.90€ Renewing argan oil of morocco is OGX 's signature line. They say that the argan oil is sourced straight from Morocco. Rich in natural vitamin E and super-charged antioxidants, this special ingredient has been making hair gorgeous for centuries. First of all the smell is so good. The shampoo and conditioner have a nice golden colour. This shampoo gets really nice and foamy in the shower. I apply the conditioner from the middle part of my hair to the ends, not on the roots, because that might leave the hair roots a bit greasy. Hair was silky and shiny after wash, just amazing. The second one I tried was th

It's going to be okay, you can do it

Tips for Flawless Hair

Avoid heating tools Heating tools can dry and fry out hair, which leads to split ends and overall damage. Sleep on a silk pillowcase Silk is softer on your hair, prevents moisture loss and breakage Shampoo and condition with cold water Hot water might damage and dry your hair, but cold water seals in moisture and shine Don't brush wet hair Your hair is not strong when wet and brushing it leads to hair breakage Coconut Oil Coconut oil is really moisturising, so if you have dry hair, apply coconut oil on the ends Don't wash your hair everyday Washing daily can strip too much of your natural hair oils and dry your hair out Don't use too many hair products Using products too much might weaken your hair and leave it a mess Use good quality shampoos and conditioners They have more good benefits for your hair

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - Quick Review

Image
When everyone was raving about micellar water, I just had to try it out. So starting small, I bought the  Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water  mini format. Basically what you do is pour some of it on a clean cotton pad and swipe it across your face. You can use this to remove makeup or to just cleanse. Also no rinsing needed and it's great for all skin types. This removes makeup really well and it doesn't dry my face. It's also hypoallergenic, which I think is just great. Basically every time I use mascara, I get mascara on my eyelids, so I just pour this on a Q-tip to easily remove any mascara around my eyes. But micellar water is not the best eye makeup remover. During summer I used micellar water to take off sunscreen or sweat from my face. I bought the PureActive Micellar Water for my brother, so he could cleanse his face and treat few blemishes. I have also used this to remove my makeup. Both products are really good and definitely a must have for lazy people. So

Rimmel BB Cream Radiance - Quick Review

Image
I bought this after reading many good reviews, but I was really disappointed. Rimmel 9-in1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup has SPF 20. I love that this BB Cream has vitamin C complex and that it's non comedogenic.  So this "Super" Makeup  1) Primes 2) Smoothes 3) Conceals 4) Helps minimise the appearance of pores 5) Provides natural looking coverage 6) Moisturises for 24 hours (Why?) 7) Awakens tired skin 8) Brightens the skin, with vitamin C complex 9) Gives a radiant finish Dermatologist tested. Clinically tested. Non Comedogenic. Shade LIGHT was too dark and the colour was a bit orange-ish This had more coverage, but it didn't look natural with my spots. It also got greasy super fast. So it was very uncomfortable to wear this throughout the day. Anyways I didn't like it. This isn't for people with blemishes or oily skin.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream - Quick Review

Image
Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream  has 2% salicylic acid (which is known to fight blemishes) and is for oily skin with SPF 15. I have bought this product three times. The package says that this product:  1 Conceals imperfections 2 Helps protect against the appearance of blemishes 3 Oil-free, non-greasy 4 Minimises the appearance of pores 5 Clarifies the skin's look 6 Conceals redness 7 Hydrates and smoothes 8 Complements skin tone Seems good. Since this is for oily skin, I was hoping this product to be a bit mattifying, like after wearing this for a while, my face gets oily and feels very uncomfortable. This has a light coverage. When I applied it, it didn't look natural. But after few hours, I saw that it looked a lot more natural and also covered more blemishes. For sometime I decided to not use this product, because my blemishes were getting worse and I used this product daily. And my skin got more clear (but then it got worse again). I use this product rarely. I like t

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara - Quick Review

Image
Great mascara. Currently it is one of my fave mascaras. The texture isn't runny nor clumpy. I really love this mascara's small wand. It's really light and easy to apply with. This mascara doesn't really add volume, mostly just length, which I like, but lately I have been wanting more voluminous lashes. So if you want that, don't buy this one. But otherwise this mascara is really good.  Only problem with this is that, I'm the worst at applying mascara, every time it's just so messy, I always need to have micellar water with me. During summer I used this mascara with   Maybelline's Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof mascara. First I applied Great Lash and Volum' Express , so my mascara wouldn't smudge with sweat or water. I would recommend this product.

Garnier Pure Active Anti-Spot Exfoliating Scrub - Quick Review

Image
I bought this product randomly.  Garnier Exfoliating Scrub fights spots, fades marks and removes impurities. It also has 2% salicylic acid & Herbasoothe (blueberry extract). It is for oily to spot-prone skin. This product has a creamy texture and microbeads.  It's just a regular facial scrub. It exfoliated my face, which is what I wanted, but I didn't see any special results. Maybe it faded some marks. Of course I didn't use it everyday, which is suggested on the package. I've read that you should use an exfoliating scrub 2-3 times a week, so that's what I did. For few days I actually used this in the mornings and nights, but it was too harsh on my skin. But for my acne I didn't see a big difference, I liked that my face  was smooth and felt really clean after washing with this. I don't think that I will purchase this again.

Australian Bodycare Facial Wash and Spot Stick - Quick Review

Image
I was actually really surprised how well ABC Spot Stick (Antiseptic Stick for Spot Prone Skin) worked. But only for a short time. The Tea Tree Oil is in a small glass package and has a rollerball, because of that it's really easy to apply it and take it with you. The product contains 9% Tea Tree Oil and Witch-Hazel to cool and calm. For me it worked for a week really well, but then it didn't and also since it's really small, it ran out pretty fast. Price 11€ ABC Facial Wash has deep cleansing action and helps prevent spots. It is a gel cleanser and I really like the texture. Kind of feels like you are rubbing oil on your face. I like that it doesn't dry my face and makes my skin feel really clean. After few washes my skin changed and there were less blemishes, but some time later I didn't see those results. Of course other things could've affected that. I would recommend this product, but not sure if i would buy it again, at least right now, because I wan

YOU are worth it

Everyone is different. Everyone has different opinions, thoughts and lives. That's why you can't compare yourself to others, you don't know what they have gone through.  Some people like to say bad things to others, does it really make them feel better? Like why is it good to say something bad to them? Well you shouldn't let that bother you, that's just their opinion or a way to feel better about themselves. So deeply breathe in and out and move on with your life, because it's yours and you shouldn't waste your time on them. Sometimes people get confused with honesty and bullying, because truth hurts. Truth is like falling from the clouds to concrete or hitting your pinky toe on the corner of a wall. But then you deal with it and move on. Once I read a story about a boy with anger issues. On the days when he said bad words, he had to hit a nail in the fence. When the boy didn't say anything bad he could take one nail out of the fence. After awhile

Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion - Review

Image
I was desperately trying to find a miracle product that would get rid of pimples. So I found this. After reading many good reviews about this Drying Lotion, I decided to try it out. It took me a few days to find this product. But was it worth it? Price 12€ On the package there is written: results overnight, proven spot treatment, reduces pimples overnight and safe for sensitive skin. Sounds too good to be true.   So basically this is a sulfur acne treatment, which is very drying. Some reviews said that this made their blemishes worse, because it was just too drying. This product contains maximum strength salicylic acid which exfoliates dead skin cells, allowing the all-natural drying agents to penetrate pores and treat infection. DO NOT SHAKE! Which is written on package. But if you accidentally shake it, don't worry. Just let the pink stuff in the glass bottle set for few hours until the liquid is clear. Then dip a Q-tip in the pink stuff and apply the pink stuff on pimple

For Better Skin - Some Tips

1. Drink Water 2. Wash your face twice a day 3. Eat healthy foods for skin Avocados - a lot of good vitamins and benefits Salmon - anti-inflammatory, also good for your health Yogurt - prevents wrinkles Pomegranates - protects Walnuts - softens skin Sunflower seeds - brightens Kidney beans - clears skin (with Zinc) Green tea - calms redness 4. Wear sunscreen when you go outside 5. Don't stress Stay calm and positive, try yoga, deep breathing and meditation. 6. Less dairy products Milk and hormones don't go together, so try to avoid dairy products. 7. Choose skincare products for your skin type Everyone's skin has different needs, so use products made for your skin type (dry, normal, oily or combination). 8. Exfoliate Use a face scrub 2-3 times a week to clean your face deeper and also that way your moisturisers will absorb better. Scrub your face gently. 9. Don't touch your face!! You don't want to put more bacteria on your face. Also avoid putting your phone

Foaming Facial Washes

Foaming facial washes are more gentle than gel cleansers. So those are great for sensitive skin or if you prefer more gentle cleansers. My first face cleansers was The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Facial Wash. That was one of the products that I have completely used, like all of it. I think foam washes are great, but since I have oily acne-prone skin, maybe gel cleansers would be better for me. The Aloe Gentle Facial Wash  was really soothing and nice. The second foaming wash that I have used was The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser which is suitable for blemished skin. It says that instant foam removes impurities and excess oil for clearer looking skin . I like the foam, but I really didn't see a difference on my skin. And the last one I bought was Sebamed Clear Face Antibacterial Cleansing Foam for acne prone skin. The product says that it combats pimples, blackheads and skin impurities, gently deep cleanses pores and has effective antibacterial action Montaline

Natural Code By Lumene Skin Perfector Matt Makeup - Quick review

Image
I was in need for a foundation that would cover my blemishes, didn't make me breakout, didn't clog my pores and wasn't that expensive. So I found this. This a moisturising, mattifying and oil-free foundation. It contains Arctic Tea Tree extract and doesn't have any parabens. Price 9.10€ I really like this, this product gives me a matt look. It doesn't cover everything, but enough and you can layer it, I just usually don't. It lasts long, but for me, my skin still gets oily somewhere at noon. Shade 11 Cream which matches my real skin tone, is a little too light for me right now, since I got a suntan in the summer. I really like this foundation and I would definitely buy it again.

Lumene Basic Blue Day Cream - Quick Review

Image
I bought this because I wanted a simple moisturiser that didn't have any parabens in it. This product has over 90% natural ingredients, it smells like cornflower and it's for all skin types. Price 4.90€ I have to say this product is very moisturising, for my oily skin it's bit too much. I don't know if this product made me breakout or was it the stress (back to school). I liked the creamy texture, but didn't love how fast my skin was oily. Since it's a day cream, I only applied it in the morning after washing my face. And I also used this under my foundation. The foundation was mattifying, so that kept my skin from getting really oily. This is a pretty basic moisturiser. I wouldn't recommend it for people with oily skin. Otherwise it was good, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - Quick Review

Image
I bought this mostly because Zoella talked about Simple skincare products. The product says it has 2 vitamins (pro-vitamin B5 & vitamin E), 2 skin loving ingredients (glycerin & borage seed oil) and NO artificial perfume or colour and no harsh chemicals. Sounds pretty good, right? It is suitable for sensitive skin and has Zinc in it (which is good).  I only apply it in the morning. It's just a regular moisturiser, but I'm kinda impressed that it keeps my oily skin under control til' the afternoon. But it hasn't really done anything to my skin or acne. It doesn't prevent breakouts (even though I didn't think it would). I think it's good, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Acne Struggles

I'm not happy. I don't want acne to define me or lower my confidence, but sadly it has. I'm still trying to be positive and not think about my face too much. Maybe I will grow out of it or maybe it will continue. I have wasted a lot of money on acne products/ skincare products and I don't want to waste anymore. Before buying products, I research, but still that doesn't mean that they are going to work on me. Maybe my product reviews can help you. I'm also trying to eat healthier. It's difficult, because I don't eat a lot of things I should be eating. Also I've been drinking a lot of water and green tea. I had one goal this summer, and that was to get clearer skin, so hopefully I'd be more confident in school. Sadly it only got worse, so I started wearing foundation to school. I am trying not to care what other people think about my face or maybe they don't care about it at all, but I care about my face and am kinda insecure about it. I

YOU...

If you are not happy, make yourself happy. You don't like your appearance, change it and so on. Don't forget that you are still in control of your life and you make the decisions. Many people try to affect you, just do what you think is best, while not doing anything that might harm you or others. And you still need to care about other people around you and the planet you are living on, because I know for certain that I want to leave behind an amazing planet where life can still continue. So don't lose yourself and your passions in this crazy, hard, fast life. You have to live with yourself for the rest of your life. I am not happy about many things, but nobody's perfect, so I am still learning to accept these things about myself. I can't change everything. Don't let life beat you down if you have the power to stand up. You are capable of doing so many great things and you don't even know it yet. You were born for a reason and even if you can't find
