Skin care routine for oily/combination/acne prone skin

Image
17 and still struggling. I have tried so many different skin care products and visited 3 dermatologists. Finally I've put together a skin care routine that works for me. I have oily skin (sometimes combination) and acne. Actually now my acne has calmed down. A few blemishes and acne scars. Less is more, so I tried to find simple products. Here is my 3-step routine: 1. Eau Thermale Avéne Cleanance Cleansing Gel I came back to this product, because this is simple and effective. Read my review of this product here . 2. LUSH Tea Tree Water Toner is important, because it closes pores and removes any make-up or cleanser residue. Many facial toners contain alcohol, but that's actually really bad for your skin. This LUSH tea tree water is natural, contains only a few ingredients that are tea tree water, grapefruit water, juniperberry water, limonene, perfume, methylparaben (the last two are safe synthetics). It has a good price at 12€ for the amount.  I spray it ...

Eau Thermale Avéne Cleanance Cleansing Gel - Review

It's weird that I haven't done this review earlier, so here it is. I have been using this cleansing gel for few years now.  Eau Thermale Avéne Cleanance Cleansing Gel is soap-free and for face and body. It is suitable for oily, blemish prone skin, hypoallergenic and non comedogenic. Cleanance Soapfree Cleansing Gel gently removes impurities from the skin and helps reduce excess sebum thanks to Monolaurin*.  Avéne Thermal Spring Water provides soothing and anti-irritating benefits. It leaves the skin clean, clear and refreshed.  Price 22€ Apply a small amount in the morning and/or evening to wet skin, work up a lather, rinse thoroughly, then pat dry. The product cleanses pretty well, considering you only need a really small amount per wash. There's no clingy residue when rinsing. It is so gentle and nice. It's also not drying and after washing skin feels so fresh.  Pros: Travel friendly packaging  Soapless base Mattifies the skin Regulates exc...

Eau Thermale Avéne Hydrance Optimale UV Light SPF 20 - Review

Image
So I bought this new moisturiser Avéne Hydrance Optimale . With my new skincare routine, I had to moisturise and protect my skin, so this moisturiser is perfect.   Avène Hydrance Optimale UV Light is a hydrating moisturiser to protect the skin from daily aggressions and help prevent skin ageing caused by the sun. For normal to combination dehydrated sensitive skin. Based on Meiboserin and Lipomucine® which increases coverage across the skin. It also contains sebo-absorbing capsules (2%) for a light mattifying effect and a matte finish. SPF 20. Paraben free. 29€ I just apply this in the morning after I cleanse my face. Cream absorbs really fast leaving my skin matte. I like how light this is, it's like barely there and also keeps my oily skin under control longer than other products I've used. Skin is nicely hydrated. Also this doesn't block pores and I haven't had any breakouts. Thumbs up!
