Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector - Review

Image
So school has been pretty crazy lately and I'm always so tired. The stress caused me to breakout and I didn't want to put on any foundation or BB cream, because I knew how oily I would get and too dark shades would just look bad. But my wonderful friend let me try her Urban Decay One & Done Perfector and the first impression was just okay. I wore it for one of the biggest events in my life and it stayed pretty matte the entire night. Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector, wow that's a long name, is this hybrid complexion cream that combines sheer foundation with tinted moisturizer and high-tech weightless oil-free formula. This product pretty much replaces moisturizer, primer and foundation. In the morning you apply this one product and you're done. One & Done instantly blurs imperfections and evens out skin tone. Provides all-day wear and covers a wide range of skin tones. Light-diffusing spheres help make flaws seem to disappear.

Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 Day Cream - Review

Image
High school days are a lot longer and when I get home all I want to do is sleep. School has been  draining my creativity. So it's been so hard to get inspired to write posts, even reviews. But a month ago when my skin was worse and I wanted a good moisturiser to protect from little sun we have and keep my skin healthy. Clinique has always been in my radar, but come on over 40€ for a day cream? No, thank you. Well, I am here now with the 40€ Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 day cream. And it is totally worth it! I love that Clinique's creams are all made for different skin types. At first I thought it was just this one cream for all, but then I saw the packages had different numbers on them (1 - Dry; 2 - Dry Combination; 3,4 - Combination to Oily).  So pay attention to the packages! Why Clinique Superdefense day cream? This cream is supposed to protect your skin from pollution and help skin become healthy. All-day hydration creates a moisture barrier so skin could better r

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula - Review

Image
If your skin isn't changing for the better, it's time to change up your skin care routine. Dealing with acne isn't easy, so when I ran out of my cleanser, I wanted to try something new and hopefully better. I've always wanted to try  Clinique products, but it has been out of my price range. This time I noticed that it had the same price as the Avéne one I've been using. Now I've been using Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula for a month.  Price 21,99€ / on the right: Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 day cream First things first, the packaging is super comfortable to use and high quality. A clean green shade and sleek design, makes me feel so fancy and happy when using it. Of course I use this twice a day: in the morning and evening. I only need a one pump or a half of clear liquid soap to get it nicely foamy and massage it all over my face. I love that when rinsing, there is no residue. The soap comes off super quickly, leaving skin fresh. I thi

Tilk! bio hand creams & Kiss Me lip balm - Review

Image
Tilk! had this cool campaign, where you share a photo of your Tilk! creams and you get a free travel size cream of your choice. At the same time you were entered to a giveaway, where 4 people could win 25€ gift cards for Tilk! creams. And I won. When I found out, I actually screamed, because who doesn't like free stuff. So I chose the Love Me and Moisture me hand creams and the Kiss Me lip balm. Kiss Me lip balm is just wow. The lip balm is so moisturising and lightweight. This gives my lips a sheer red sheen and gloss. I'm absolutely in love. The only downside is the packaging, which is not as cute the creams and pretty cheap in my opinion. The Kiss Me is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried. The hand creams have a similar package as the face creams. Super detailed and adorable. I gave the Moisture Me hand cream to my granny as a birthday gift and she really liked it. I found that the Love Me and Moisture Me hand creams are exactly the same, just a different col

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free - Review

Image
Oily skin is annoying and so are blemishes. Since school is starting, I was hoping that a BB cream could help me. There aren't many BB creams for oily skin in the market. So after a lot of research, I decided to try the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream Oil-Free  in Light. This is perfect for combination to oily skin. I was really skeptical about this, because the Garnier BB creams I've tried before, were so bad. They were so greasy and orange.  Price 10€ This product is supposed to mattify, reduce the appearance of imperfections, boost radiance, hydrate and protect from the sun (SPF 20). This contains mattifying agents and mineral pigments. Has no parabens.   The package is simple and cute, it only leaks a little. The cream itself is more of a fluid, so it melts into the skin. This leaves skin instantly matte and is super lightweight. Though I wish this was more adaptable to skin tone. Because the shade is a bit dark and orange for my skin tone, but still looks

FeelUnique HAUL

Image
Back to school soon! This year I'm going to high school and that means a lot of shopping. I finally made up my mind about what makeup I'm gonna be using and what look I'm going for. Feelunique.com had 15% off and all the products I needed. I really wanted NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. After weeks of waiting for them to be back in stock, I gave up. Maybe another time. This is the 7th time I've ordered from FeelUnique and usually my packages arrive in two-three weeks. I ordered 7 items and got 2 samples. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula 200ml £16.50 I ran out of facial cleansers and I've always wanted to try Clinique products. Also this was cheaper at FeelUnique than in stores. I can't wait to see the results. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream in Light £9.99 I have started to hate foundations because of my oily skin. But this BB cream is really mattifying, so hopefully this will save me on long school days. Also

L'Oréal True Match Mineral Powder Foundation - Review

Image
A lot of people have been raving about this powder foundation and since I have oily skin, this seemed perfect. Also really good for traveling. Matches skin colour and texture with 95% minerals.  SPF 15.  No perfume, no preservatives, oil-free, non-comedogenic.   Medium coverage.  I'm terrible at choosing the right shade. So I followed the directions and I kinda see why people love it, I just don't.  The foundation was lightweight, but powder brings out facial hairs. I was surprised by the good coverage, because I've never used a powder foundation before. Surprisingly m y skin got shiny pretty fast. That's a problem for me, especially because this is mineral powder foundation, so I expected this to stay matte longer. Was it too drying for my skin? All I know is that my skin didn't like this foundation. The applicator brush is a bit too harsh on skin, but softer brushes don't blend well. Also the application took longer than it would with a liquid foundation.

Tilk! Cleanse Me Facial Cream - Review

Image
It's already August! Summer, come back! With the heat and sun, I've been trying to keep my skincare routine super simple. Currently I'm mostly struggling with acne scars and super oily skin.  It has been difficult finding a good moisturiser for oily skin. Who wouldn't want the perfect moisturiser that gives you a moisturised shine free complexion for the whole day? Also on budget.  I remembered an Estonian brand Tilk! . They make natural, good quality facial and hand creams, they also ship internationally, check them out  tilk.bio . Tilk! has creams for all skin types and the oily skin one was really tempting. I found a few reviews about the creams and they were really positive. So while I was in Saaremaa (the place where Tilk! is from), I went to the store and bought the 50ml cream. I think it was about 22€. First of all the packaging is so cute and detailed. Just so pretty and colourful.  Their creams are made from bioactive ingredients. Cleanse Me cream

3 ingredient acne clearing DIY mask

So lately I've been obsessed with Huda Beauty . She has so many tips and is so beautiful.   She also has a lot of acne tips and one of them was this DIY mask. Of course I had to try it and I really liked it. Although the application was pretty difficult. You only need 3 ingredients. Measurements are not that important, pretty much go with how you like it.  But if you want to be more precise then here you go. 1 teaspoon of nutmeg 2-3 teaspoons of milk (regular) 1/2 teaspoon of honey Start with the nutmeg and spread it out in a bowl. Then add milk and slowly stir. It's not easy to mix nutmeg, because some of the nutmeg pieces will float and some of them will be in the bottom. Then add honey and stir. It is a liquid chunky paste. And that's why it is hard to apply. If you have a synthetic makeup brush, then you could use that, but make sure you wash it afterwards. I took the spoon, poured the paste onto my face and then scattered it on my face. It was not a pretty sight

First impressions - Joik BB Cream & TheBalm BalmShelter

Image
I am so tired of buying makeup/skincare products and then being disappointed. I've been trying to find a good BB cream/tinted moisturiser to get a shine-free, even complexion with sun protection. So I did my research, made a top 3 and went shopping. I know that in some stores you can ask for testers, but when you can't, then you should do what I did. I had 2 small empty containers and I discreetly pumped a little of the cream's testers into my containers. Because testers in stores are meant for testing, then why shouldn't I use them. Here are my first impressions of these two testers. Joik BB cream   light contains E-vitamin rich argan and wheat germ oils to moisturise and protect skin. It has a natural protection against UV rays. The BB cream evens out skin tone, hides small imperfections (sheer coverage) and leaves skin matte for 1-2 hours (I have really oily skin). But this also leaves a light layer of cream on my skin and doesn't completely sink in, which I d

JOIK Rosewater

Image
JOIK is a natural cosmetics brand from Estonia. Their products are vegan,100% natural, gluten free and not tested on animals. I have only bought candles from them, so I can't really comment on their products. But it's summer, it's hot and my skin could use some refreshing throughout the day. JOIK 's cute little rosewater spray was too good to pass by.  Price 4€ The rosewater has a great price, small bottle fits in a purse and it smells like roses and rose hip. This is for face and body. You can use this basically any time you want. I've used the rosewater also to set my makeup. This spray leaves a glowing finish, which I just love. I definitely recommend JOIK Rosewater spray. I think a refreshing face spray/mist is perfect for summer. Stay cool!

Things to do on rainy day : watch TV

I'm a big fan of movies and TV shows. They are a great escape from reality and really entertaining. Since it's been pretty rainy lately, I started watching TV shows again. Here are some of my favourites: Supernatural just finished its 11th season and will be back for the 12th one, so there would be a lot of catching up. I really like it, it's a bit different and a lot of monster hunting tips. If you aren't interested in all 11 seasons, I'd suggest watching just season 1. It's a great introduction to the show. Or from season 1 - season 4. Season 11 was  really really good and we got to see God. Teen Wolf  has got it all. Watch high school students deal with werewolves and other supernatural beings. This began with humour and Scott figuring out this whole werewolf thing, but season 5 was pretty depressing and dramatic.  How I Met Your Mother  is more for those who want comedy and a bit less drama. But let's be honest, drama is everywhere. So watch 9 seas

A breath of fresh air

Image
Summer is my favourite season. Not because there's no school, it's because the nature is blooming, sun is out, there is lightning and it's warm outside. To celebrate that and be healthier, me and my bestie stayed in Otepää for 4 days.  It's a small town that doesn't really have many activities or sights, but there's a lot of sports. So most of the time we were walking and every day we got over 20 000 steps. It was just the perfect place to get out of the city and enjoy nature. We climbed in the adventure park, fooled around on the swings, ate cake and ice cream, visited cemeteries, went rowing on the lake. So with those 4 days we travelled through Otepää and did almost everything there.  There was an energy pillar and a stone labyrinth, where you could gain energy. The instructions we found next to the energy pillar can be done anywhere with oak trees.  After following the instructions we actually felt refreshed, energized, it was like a cleanse. We we

My June favourites 2016

Image
June has been full of so many interesting things, makeup free and full makeup days. So I thought it would be a good idea to share products that have been with me on my graduation and on those do nothing days.  My all-time favourite mascara is Maybelline Lash Sensational . This brave soldier keeps my lashes long, curled and voluminous.  TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer is the reason I am obsessed with highlighting. The sheen, the glow and the sparkles this highlighter gives, aaah I just love it. Overall this product is just perfection for me. It's summer, it's hot, I'm not. With the heat my skin has been extra oily, so Beauty Made Easy Oil Blotting Sheets became my best friend. These absorb oil instantly, leaving me with matte skin for few hours. Plus these look cute. Australian Gold Lip Balm with SPF 30 keeps my lips moisturised and soft. It's a bit pricey for lip balm, but you only need a little, so it lasts long. Also it's so small that you can tak

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort SPF 50+ - Review

Image
Summer is here, yayy! But we still need to care of our skin and protect it from the sun. Some people might have really sensitive or sun intolerant skin and for them I think La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream is the best.  It has thick formula. Best for normal to dry skin. A very light scent. Suitable for very sensitive and   sun intolerant skin.   This is very hydrating, so you can use this as a daily moisturiser. Water resistant.  Easy to apply, moisturising, ultra-comfortable and non-greasy texture. Very comfortable to use with the pump.  Price 19€ My skin is very sensitive right now and this doesn't irritate at all. I think this does a great job at protecting my skin from the sun. I definitely recommend this.

TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer - Review

Image
TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer AKA "The Luminizer" is a highlighter, shimmer and eyeshadow in one. The retro cute packaging and a mirror in the compact makes it even better. Just how they put so much effort in the details.  Price 21,99€ The Luminizer is a champagne shade high pigmented and buttery powder, mostly used as a highlighter. It glides on smoothly, has just the right amount of sparkle, no chunks. Just be careful, it's easy to over do the highlight, because of the pigment. This product leaves a healthy and glowy finish. Apply the product lightly on your cheekbones, brow bone, inside corner of the eye, bridge of the nose and very lightly on your chin and forehead. To be precise, apply this to the spots where the natural light hits. This product may be pricy, but I think it's definitely worth it. The quality is amazing and the shimmer is just so right. The honey-hued luminizer makes your skin look softer and gives you a glowy healthy look. This

NYX Cosmetics Matte Lip Cream - Review

Image
My unhealthy obsession with matte lip colors and my friend  Kelly raving about NYX   Lip Cream ,  I was just really hoping that maybe one day one of these will be mine. Later I found out that NYX was opening their first store in Estonia at a beauty fair. I had no idea that there we had to stand in line, because there wasn't enough space for shoppers.   NYX's Matte Lip Creams have been really popular due to their great formula, big range of shades and good price. Before shopping I had chosen the shades I wanted. Unfortunately there weren't any of them, so I grabbed three shades that looked like something I'd wear. I have been looking for the perfect nude matte lip color, but I guess that is not meant to be.  Price 7,26€ The lip cream gives lips a bright and long-lasting, lightweight finish. It may be a bit drying. After drinking and eating the color still stays on. It is pretty transfer proof when dry. The wand could be better, but I haven't had any proble
