I think about a lot of things. Some of my thoughts I have even posted here, but since this is more of a beauty blog, especially reviews, I try to keep it that way. Lately I haven't been inspired to even write reviews. I have been cooking a few posts, but I'm not so sure about them. Anyways my make-up obsession has calmed down and I try to create a minimal make-up look for everyday. Usually I would use a perfector for base, mascara and brow mascara. If I feel fancier I add some bronzer and a lip colour. It's important to remember that you don't have to wear make-up. Nowadays most girls do, but it's something that people should do only if they want to, not that they have to. There was a time when I felt confident going to school having only some mattifying powder on my face and mascara, eventhough my skin wasn't clear. The Infallible 24H Matte foundation claims to be waterproof ultra matte for 24 hours. But we all know that's not true. This foundation is supposed to be perfect for oily skin. Coverage is medium, but buildable. It is best to apply this foundation with a brush and not put powder on it (right away). Applying powder on top makes it really dry. But if any shine should pop up after a few hours, then feel free to touch up with powder. I tried the lightest shade available 11 Vanilla. You have to be quick while applying, because the foundation dries fast. It looked matte, natural. Covered most of my imperfections. But at the same time it felt like a mask that sinked into my skin and kept tightly on my face. The only BIG downside to this is that the shades are way too dark and orange. I read that as this foundation dries, it oxidizes, turning the foundation a bit orange (or a lot). And that was my main problem since I'm so pale. Revlon finally made its way to Estonia and the Colorstay foundation has been pretty hyped. Since I've got combination skin right now and I would like the foundation to stay all day, this seemed perfect. I got the lightest shade Ivory 110 and it was a perfect match for me (finally!!). The first time I applied it with Beautyblender, but that was a big mistake. It got patchy and brought out my skin's texture, didn't look natural at all. By skin's texture I mean that my uneven skin, flakes, acne scars, pores and a few pimples were more defined than without any make-up. Then I put on some powder, made it only worse. But at least it lasted pretty much the entire day on my face. The second time I used my Real Techniques expert face brush and it blended so much better. But still brought out the texture, stuck to my dry patches and was really sticky. So I let it set for a while and then applied powder. Didn't make it better. I am disappointed. Why did I just now realize what a serious and horrible issue animal testing is?! Animal testing for cosmetics is cruel. Torturing and killing so many animals just for makeup and skincare is unnecessary. I understand why it was done in the past, but now in the 21st century it shouldn't be allowed anymore as the industry has evolved so much. I made a decision to no longer support the brands that test on animals, which are most of the brands that I find in stores. 17 and still struggling. I have tried so many different skin care products and visited 3 dermatologists. Finally I've put together a skin care routine that works for me. I have oily skin (sometimes combination) and acne. Actually now my acne has calmed down. A few blemishes and acne scars. Less is more, so I tried to find simple products. LUSH Tea Tree Water Toner is important, because it closes pores and removes any make-up or cleanser residue. Many facial toners contain alcohol, but that's actually really bad for your skin. This LUSH tea tree water is natural, contains only a few ingredients that are tea tree water, grapefruit water, juniperberry water, limonene, perfume, methylparaben (the last two are safe synthetics). A foundation that is matte, oil-free, full coverage? Yes, please!  This foundation has an emulsion type formula that brightens and nourishes skin, but also leaves it matte and controls the oil. So it's perfect for oily to combination skin. 13,49€ Usually I have problems finding lighter shades, but since Lumene is Nordic, they have mostly light shades. For me the shade 0 Light Ivory is perfect, but also 00 Ultra Light matched me, I just looked super pale. The coverage is medium to full coverage. It feels so light, but covers pretty much everything. I think the foundation looks better with primer, I usually apply the primer mostly in the T-zone, to keep the oil away and not let the foundation set in my pores.  The foundation leaves my skin looking semi-matte and really natural. Thank you, Kelly, for recommending this product to me. I've never been good at buying concealers, but finally did it. This Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer moisturises and brightens my under-eyes. The concealer contains vitamin C and radiance pearls. This sparkles, so the finish is more radiant and awake. The coverage is light to medium, though I wish this was full coverage to completely cover the black holes under my eyes. Also then this would be better to cover blemishes. Since this creamy concealer moisturises so well, it's great for blemishes with flaky skin around them. This is pretty long lasting and doesn't crease under my eyes. This is a good affordable concealer, but the coverage could be better.

I am still a big Clinique fan and finally I convinced myself that I need this so called amazing 3-step skincare system. Fortunately Clinique sells these 3-Step intro kits, so you could try out the mini versions of the products. These are available for 4 skin types and I chose number 3 aka combination oily. I have been making this post for too long, because NYX opened their store in Estonia in October. I of course had to be there at the opening, so I could finally get my liquid matte lipsticks. So school has been pretty crazy lately and I'm always so tired. High school days are a lot longer and when I get home all I want to do is sleep. School has been  draining my creativity. So it's been so hard to get inspired to write posts, even reviews. But a month ago when my skin was worse and I wanted a good moisturiser to protect from little sun we have and keep my skin healthy. Clinique has always been in my radar, but come on over 40€ for a day cream? No, thank you. Well, I am here now with the 40€ Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 day cream. And it is totally worth it! I love that Clinique's creams are all made for different skin types.
