We are beautiful
I think about a lot of things. Some of my thoughts I have even posted here, but since this is more of a beauty blog, especially reviews, I try to keep it that way. Lately I haven't been inspired to even write reviews. I have been cooking a few posts, but I'm not so sure about them. Anyways my make-up obsession has calmed down and I try to create a minimal make-up look for everyday. Usually I would use a perfector for base, mascara and brow mascara. If I feel fancier I add some bronzer and a lip colour.
It's important to remember that you don't have to wear make-up. Nowadays most girls do, but it's something that people should do only if they want to, not that they have to. There was a time when I felt confident going to school having only some mattifying powder on my face and mascara, eventhough my skin wasn't clear. Then my skin got worse and I just had to cover it up. I never do make-up to impress people, I do it so I could feel better. I know that everyone is unique, but I have my own beauty ideals that I wish I could achieve. And fighting with myself is harder. Although the perfector I use offers a light coverage, I still feel prettier even if it only evens out my skin tone and covers some blemishes. Sadly acne has such a big role on feeling ugly. It is just spots on my face, that are caused by oil, bacteria and hormones.
But most important is that you feel confident in your skin and love yourself. Because beauty is in all forms, colours and types. Everyone is beautiful. Everyone is different. Make-up is there to enhance your look and shouldn't be for putting on a mask and completely hiding yourself. If you feel amazing after putting on many layers of make-up, then no one should stop you, because that makes you happy and confident. But you shouldn't go crazy with it, because your skin's condition is also important.
Currently on the top of my list is healthy skin and high quality skincare. Yes, high coverage foundation might make me feel flawless, but I want my skin to be pretty all the time. I'm still being realistic and I don't aim for that flawless skin, because imperfections are okay. Mostly I just want to get rid of acne, so that's why switching to lighter make-up is a great idea. A real struggle is finding a light oil-free matte and long lasting foundation/BB cream. There are some, but they are like ridiculously expensive. I'm 17, I can't afford that much and also I don't want to. So I'm hoping that one day someone finds a cure for acne and creates the most amazing skincare/make-up products.
