What's up with Carmex lip balm - Review

Image
Well, when I started watching Emma Chamberlain on Youtube, I absolutely loved her attitude, style and just everything. Then she moved to LA and became a whole different person, so I'm not that big of a fan anymore. Still because of her I wanted to try her favourite Carmex lip balm. Now I have a love-hate relationship with this balm (like with her). I do have to say I like the tube package. The balm itself is nice, I like the look on my lips, because it kinda like irritates them a bit, which makes my natural lip colour a bit more darker. But yeah Carmex is a bit of a weird lip balm in my opinion. For one like I said it kind of irritates my lips, but also the tingles and the minty feeling is kinda good. Secondly, it's not that hydrating and actually makes my lips drier than before, but since it feels nice and moisturizing on my lips, I don't mind. Thirdly, it contains salicylic acid, which is used for treating and drying acne as it penetrates the skin layers. So that ...

Best moisturizers for oily skin

Image
Well in my lifetime I've had the chance to try out many different face moisturizers, but since my skin is very oily and still acne-prone, not many of those have stick with me. Luckily I've found TWO, yes only two moisturizers that I found worked for my skin. Unfortunately, these are not cruelty-free brands, but there are not many choices that work for very oily skin. And those that are cruelty-free are pretty much found only in the US, so this is my one exception. 1. Clinique Dramatically Different Gel This product I first bought with the Clinique 3-step system for Oily skin and I really liked the moisturizer, although the other products in the kit were too drying due to the alcohol in them. But this gel I later purchased in the big bottle and used about 3/4 of it and then stopped for some reason, I really don't remember why, but I gave it to a friend, who loved it. Now I purchased the new Clinique iD with this formula and it's really great for my oily skin. It nice...

Updated skincare routine for oily skin with acne

About six months ago my skin was absolutely the worst as I have pics for tracking my skin process. My skincare routine consisted of different acids from The Ordinary, African black soap and rose water. The products themselves are actually great, it was just all too much for my skin. Now either my hormones have calmed down or my skincare routine is better, but my skin has improved a lot. Also I got so much more information about important skincare steps from watching Beauty Within's Youtube videos. So now my skincares consists of Bioderma micellar water AM & PM I absolutely love micellar water. It is so gentle and effective when it comes to removing make-up and any dirt or impurities. I found that when washing my face with other gels and washes, my skin got super dry and flaky. Maybe there's something in the tap water... La Roche-Posay Serozinc spray After cleansing with micellar water, I like to spray this on and let it sink in. I'm not 100% sure it does an...

African Black Soap for oily acne-prone skin - Review

Image
Finding a good gentle natural cleanser for acne-prone skin isn't easy. As dermatologists usually point to pharmacy brands, such as AvĂ©ne, which contain alcohol, my skin wasn't happy with the chemical compounds. But a few organic cleansers I tried weren't also the best... So after scrolling through many Instagram self-care and glow up pages, I saw that mostly women swore by African black soap. Although it's pretty cheap and good, it wasn't really easy to get hands on it in Estonia. And I finally found one for 6,50€ on gaiacosmetics.ee .  It lasts for a loooong time, if taken care of it and preserved correctly. I found that the best way to keep this soap fresh is by cutting it into small pieces and keeping it in the zip-lock bag as humidity and air can make it expire faster and start growing some sort of mould on it. So every time you wash your face you take a piece of soap, rub it between your hands with water until it foams and apply the foam to your face. ...

LUMI Tundra sari - Arvustus

Image
Tooted on imelistest looduslikest koostisosadest, mida kõiki on nende kodulehel välja toodud. Nende enda lehelt tellides maksab terve Tundra sari kokku 69€.

Ilurutiin maksab nende e-poes 56€. ...

Origins Out of Trouble 10 minute mask - Review

Image
Well yeah, here I am again. Hopelessly trying to find a product to cure all my problems. This time I finally bought one of the famous Origins masks. I've been wanting their Clear Improvement charcoal mask for the longest time, but since my skin is not co-operating with me, then this Out of Trouble 10 Minute mask for problem skin should help. This mask contains sulfur, zinc and salicylic acid - effective anti-acne ingredients. Price 24,99€ I have to say I didn't miss the sulfur smell. This white clay mask comes in a comfortable tube. Just wash your face, pat dry and apply this mask. I usually apply a thin layer, let it dry for about 15 minutes. Yes, I know the packaging says 10 minutes, but I just really want it to work. Then I take a small cotton towel and remove the mask. To be honest I'm not sure if this works. After applying I usually feel it tingling, so it must be doing something. But I don't immediately see pimples disappearing, like some of the reviews ...

L'Oreal Colorista Washout blue hair - Review & how to get it out

Image
Do not buy this product! Why? Because it will not come out of your hair. This is actually a problem for many people, especially with the blue colours, because these will stain your hair and turn into this light greenish colour, unless that's the look you are going for. It's been one of my dreams to dye my hair blue, dark blue to be honest, but I don't want that permanent commitment, so the new Colorista Washout colours seemed to be perfect. I got the pastel blue colour, because it was so pretty on the packaging and well I pretty much bought it on a whim while hanging out with friends, without doing any research. The colour pretty much only shows and stays on blonde hair. My hair is dyed ombre, so I tried to apply this only on my blonde ends, also my not coloured hair turned dark green (which washed out easily). The colour at first was more cool light purple than pastel blue, but it was okay. It actually didn't look bad, I liked it. But it was so difficult to rea...

Ingli Pai Näovesi tundlikule või aknega nahale - Arvustus

Image

Maca tablets for acne - did it work?

Image
Acne has become a very serious issue for me and I want to get rid of it so badly. There has to be a way to treat it. Since skincare products, acne treatments and antibiotics haven't worked for me, I found these super powerful maca pills. These have so many benefits: faster metabolism, clearing skin, strengthening the immune system, reduces stress and PMS, more energy and increases libido. Price 23€ Maca tablets contain vitamins  B1, B2, B6, C and E, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, copper and zinc. So many good ingredients!!  These tablets should only be taken for a month at a time and then again in a few months if needed, because they are so powerful. I followed the instructions and nothing really changed. I had a bit more energy and I was feeling well and healthy, but my acne was still the same. So I guess I would only suggest these tablets to women dealing with stress, PMS and menopause and for men to gain more energy, reduce stress and being healthi...

LUSH Tea Tree water & Breath of Fresh Air toner

Image
LUSH is an amazing organic brand mostly known for their bathbombs, but their skincare is also the bomb. Tbh the only skincare products I've tried from LUSH are the toners... But still, I've read a lot of good things about their skincare. LUSH has three toners: tea tree, sea and rose water. These spray toners are great for refreshing throughout the day, but also a good product to tone your skin, close pores and remove any excess dirt or cleanser residue. I like to take these everywhere with me if I feel oily or am in need for a quick cleansing. Price for 100g is 6,95€ and for 250g 12,95€ In search for a good inexpensive toner I found my way to the Tea Tree water for oily acne-prone skin.  Tea tree has antibacterial properties and it also mattifies. The toner only contains a few ingredients, all of which are natural. Grapefruit water is rich in vitamins and juniperberry water is antiseptic. I really like this toner. It is mattifying, refreshing, non-drying and makes my sk...
