Lumene Matt Control Oil-free Foundation - Review

Image
A foundation that is matte, oil-free, full coverage? Yes, please!  This foundation has an emulsion type formula that brightens and nourishes skin, but also leaves it matte and controls the oil. So it's perfect for oily to combination skin. 13,49€ Usually I have problems finding lighter shades, but since Lumene is Nordic, they have mostly light shades. For me the shade 0 Light Ivory is perfect, but also 00 Ultra Light matched me, I just looked super pale. The coverage is medium to full coverage. It feels so light, but covers pretty much everything. I think the foundation looks better with primer, I usually apply the primer mostly in the T-zone, to keep the oil away and not let the foundation set in my pores.  The foundation leaves my skin looking semi-matte and really natural. After application I set my T-zone with some powder. When 3-4 hours pass I am usually pretty shiny, but with this foundation it looks like a natural shine (does that make sense?). It was a lit...

Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer - Review

Image
Thank you, Kelly, for recommending this product to me. I've never been good at buying concealers, but finally did it. This Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer moisturises and brightens my under-eyes. The concealer contains vitamin C and radiance pearls. This sparkles, so the finish is more radiant and awake. The coverage is light to medium, though I wish this was full coverage to completely cover the black holes under my eyes. Also then this would be better to cover blemishes. Since this creamy concealer moisturises so well, it's great for blemishes with flaky skin around them. This is pretty long lasting and doesn't crease under my eyes. This is a good affordable concealer, but the coverage could be better.

Clinique 3-Step System Combination Oily - Review

Image
I am still a big Clinique fan and finally I convinced myself that I need this so called amazing 3-step skincare system. Fortunately Clinique sells these 3-Step intro kits, so you could try out the mini versions of the products. These are available for 4 skin types and I chose number 3 aka combination oily. Price 29,99€ The kit consists of Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula 50 ml, Clarifying Lotion 3 100ml and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel 30 ml. Step 1: Gently wash face with the Liquid Facial Soap Step 2: Pour some Clarifying Lotion on a cotton pad and swipe across the face Step 3: Apply a small amount of Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel all over face. Updated: I've used the Facial Soap before and it's still really good. It's not too rough, but enough to remove any dirt. The Clarifying Lotion was really harsh at first, it was really drying and my face was pretty irritated. But after a few days my skin got used to it. I see now how it has h...

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks - Review

Image
I have been making this post for too long, because NYX opened their store in Estonia in October. I of course had to be there at the opening, so I could finally get my liquid matte lipsticks. Price 8,5€ For the longest time I've wanted to join the trends with matte nudes. It is kinda over now maybe I don't know whatever. NYX has a whole line of liquid mattes called Lingerie. The packaging kind of reminds me the Kylie liquid mattes, but hey one can dream. So before the big day I had chosen two shades: Push Up and Bedtime Flirt. Push Up is more of a pale darker nude, a bit brown. Bedtime Flirt is like Push Up, but with a touch of red. So they're really similar in colour. I expected the shades to look prettier tbh. I watched many reviews while deciding on shades and all of their favourite was Bedtime Flirt. It is really long lasting. When I wanted to remove the lipstick, it was pretty hard to get it off. So that's a good and a bad thing. The wand is long and the...

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector - Review

Image
So school has been pretty crazy lately and I'm always so tired. The stress caused me to breakout and I didn't want to put on any foundation or BB cream, because I knew how oily I would get and too dark shades would just look bad. But my wonderful friend let me try her Urban Decay One & Done Perfector and the first impression was just okay. I wore it for one of the biggest events in my life and it stayed pretty matte the entire night. Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector, wow that's a long name, is this hybrid complexion cream that combines sheer foundation with tinted moisturizer and high-tech weightless oil-free formula. This product pretty much replaces moisturizer, primer and foundation. In the morning you apply this one product and you're done. One & Done instantly blurs imperfections and evens out skin tone. Provides all-day wear and covers a wide range of skin tones. Light-diffusing spheres help make flaws seem to disappear. ...

Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 Day Cream - Review

Image
High school days are a lot longer and when I get home all I want to do is sleep. School has been  draining my creativity. So it's been so hard to get inspired to write posts, even reviews. But a month ago when my skin was worse and I wanted a good moisturiser to protect from little sun we have and keep my skin healthy. Clinique has always been in my radar, but come on over 40€ for a day cream? No, thank you. Well, I am here now with the 40€ Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 day cream. And it is totally worth it! I love that Clinique's creams are all made for different skin types. At first I thought it was just this one cream for all, but then I saw the packages had different numbers on them (1 - Dry; 2 - Dry Combination; 3,4 - Combination to Oily).  So pay attention to the packages! Why Clinique Superdefense day cream? This cream is supposed to protect your skin from pollution and help skin become healthy. All-day hydration creates a moisture barrier so skin could better ...

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula - Review

Image
If your skin isn't changing for the better, it's time to change up your skin care routine. Dealing with acne isn't easy, so when I ran out of my cleanser, I wanted to try something new and hopefully better. I've always wanted to try  Clinique products, but it has been out of my price range. This time I noticed that it had the same price as the Avéne one I've been using. Now I've been using Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula for a month.  Price 21,99€ / on the right: Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 day cream First things first, the packaging is super comfortable to use and high quality. A clean green shade and sleek design, makes me feel so fancy and happy when using it. Of course I use this twice a day: in the morning and evening. I only need a one pump or a half of clear liquid soap to get it nicely foamy and massage it all over my face. I love that when rinsing, there is no residue. The soap comes off super quickly, leaving skin fresh. I thi...

Tilk! bio hand creams & Kiss Me lip balm - Review

Image
Tilk! had this cool campaign, where you share a photo of your Tilk! creams and you get a free travel size cream of your choice. At the same time you were entered to a giveaway, where 4 people could win 25€ gift cards for Tilk! creams. And I won. When I found out, I actually screamed, because who doesn't like free stuff. So I chose the Love Me and Moisture me hand creams and the Kiss Me lip balm. Kiss Me lip balm is just wow. The lip balm is so moisturising and lightweight. This gives my lips a sheer red sheen and gloss. I'm absolutely in love. The only downside is the packaging, which is not as cute the creams and pretty cheap in my opinion. The Kiss Me is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried. The hand creams have a similar package as the face creams. Super detailed and adorable. I gave the Moisture Me hand cream to my granny as a birthday gift and she really liked it. I found that the Love Me and Moisture Me hand creams are exactly the same, just a different col...

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free - Review

Image
Oily skin is annoying and so are blemishes. Since school is starting, I was hoping that a BB cream could help me. There aren't many BB creams for oily skin in the market. So after a lot of research, I decided to try the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream Oil-Free  in Light. This is perfect for combination to oily skin. I was really skeptical about this, because the Garnier BB creams I've tried before, were so bad. They were so greasy and orange.  Price 10€ This product is supposed to mattify, reduce the appearance of imperfections, boost radiance, hydrate and protect from the sun (SPF 20). This contains mattifying agents and mineral pigments. Has no parabens.   The package is simple and cute, it only leaks a little. The cream itself is more of a fluid, so it melts into the skin. This leaves skin instantly matte and is super lightweight. Though I wish this was more adaptable to skin tone. Because the shade is a bit dark and orange for my skin tone, but still ...

FeelUnique HAUL

Image
Back to school soon! This year I'm going to high school and that means a lot of shopping. I finally made up my mind about what makeup I'm gonna be using and what look I'm going for. Feelunique.com had 15% off and all the products I needed. I really wanted NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. After weeks of waiting for them to be back in stock, I gave up. Maybe another time. This is the 7th time I've ordered from FeelUnique and usually my packages arrive in two-three weeks. I ordered 7 items and got 2 samples. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula 200ml £16.50 I ran out of facial cleansers and I've always wanted to try Clinique products. Also this was cheaper at FeelUnique than in stores. I can't wait to see the results. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream in Light £9.99 I have started to hate foundations because of my oily skin. But this BB cream is really mattifying, so hopefully this will save me on long school days. Also ...

L'Oréal True Match Mineral Powder Foundation - Review

Image
A lot of people have been raving about this powder foundation and since I have oily skin, this seemed perfect. Also really good for traveling. Matches skin colour and texture with 95% minerals.  SPF 15.  No perfume, no preservatives, oil-free, non-comedogenic.   Medium coverage.  I'm terrible at choosing the right shade. So I followed the directions and I kinda see why people love it, I just don't.  The foundation was lightweight, but powder brings out facial hairs. I was surprised by the good coverage, because I've never used a powder foundation before. Surprisingly m y skin got shiny pretty fast. That's a problem for me, especially because this is mineral powder foundation, so I expected this to stay matte longer. Was it too drying for my skin? All I know is that my skin didn't like this foundation. The applicator brush is a bit too harsh on skin, but softer brushes don't blend well. Also the application took longer than it would with a liquid foundation....
