John Frieda Beach Blonde Shampoo And Conditioner - Review

Image
I really really want summer. Only few months to go, but to get the summer feeling, why not try the shampoo that was a hit last summer.  John Frieda Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo cleanses thirsty, heat-damaged hair. Leaves hair silky soft  and lightly textured, for an effortlessly tousled beach style.  John Frieda Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner unties knots and snags. Formulated with Kukui Nut Oil, lightweight conditioner gently nourishes and detangles hair. Both are infused with energising mint. First of all I love the green cute packaging, already summer vibes. The size is really good for travelling. The shampoo gets nice and foamy. The scent is minty and refreshing. Conditioner has this thick texture that is really comfortable to massage into the hair.  My hair is soft, silky  and lightly smells minty. I noticed that my hair had light tousled waves (usually it's super straight) and more volume. Overall my hair feels super healthy. I'm in love with ...

Lumene Beauty Base Matifying & Pore Minimizing Primer

Image
A lot of beauty gurus talk about primers and how important they are, I decided try one out. In Estonia there is a small selection of primers, which is disappointing. Anyways Lumene has a shine neutralizing and pore minimizing primer for oily and combination skin. It primes the skin with a matt finish and a smooth base for makeup.  The texture is kind of like silicone, absorbs fast, feels funny on skin and it's kind of difficult to understand where I applied and where I still need to apply it. First few hours it stays matt, but with my oily skin afterwards feels cake-y. When I took my makeup off after many hours, my skin looked better and it didn't cause me to breakout.  I think this primer works pretty well and does minimize pores.

Gosh Velvet Touch Matt Lipstick - Review

Image
I was on a mission to find a matte lipstick, because it's kind of a trend right now? While shopping with  Kelly  and we found Gosh Velvet Touch Matt Lipstick. I bought the shade 002 Rose. Price 6,70€ This lipstick is moisturising and comfortable on lips. The only bad thing would be that  the color varies with different lighting, so beware. One moment it's light and pink, the other it kinda looks red or purple-ish. The lipstick  lasts pretty long and has a matt nice finish.

Lumene True Mystic Precise Tip Eyeliner - Review

Image
This is a long-wear precise eyeliner. Dark pigment, water resistant formula and short drying time - everything you need in an eyeliner to stay all day. It has a long flexible tip that is easy to use. Since I'm still new with eyeliner, I end up with a mess and a thick line, but I'm getting better. One thing that bothered me was that the very tip didn't color. Like this is supposed to be a precise tip eyeliner, but the tip doesn't work, like what? But later I found ways for it to work a little, so I could do cat eyes with this. I like the pigment and texture. The pigment doesn't stay black very long and might start running. Overall I think that it's a good eyeliner.

The Original Beautyblender - Review

Image
I got the Original Beautyblender for my birthday and it just changed my life. I've always wanted to buy one, but they're kinda pricy. So I was super happy, when I got it as a gift. Beautyblender is a cosmetic sponge applicator, which ensures streak-free application with minimum product waste. The blender makes it easier to apply foundation and concealer, because it blends so well (duh). One other reason why it blends so well is water, because it fills the sponge and doesn't absorb makeup.  The Beautyblender looks pretty small, but when wet it doubles in size and becomes softer.  Just follow the instructions.  A fter washing the sponge with soap, some color will run off, which is normal. The instructions and solid soap for the sponge are in the container. In the store I saw that all the Beautyblenders didn't have the solid soap in the container, so you might have to buy the soap separately. The Beautyblender is safe and the color will not transfer onto face .  ...

Little Getaway

Image
Tired of work, routine and all your problems? Why not have a day or few hours away from it all? That's what I do. There are so many different things to do, but my favourites would be walking in town or in the forest and at-home spa. At-home spa is pretty easy. You can take a relaxing bath, apply a face mask or paint nails, etc... But it's all about treating yourself, because you're worth it. I usually take a long shower, clear my skin with a face mask and go to sleep earlier. And the best thing about it? It's at home.  I enjoy walking and discovering new places, but also visiting the old places for memories. Alone is nice to figure things out in my head and enjoy what's around me. With friends it's so nice to talk and listen. Lately I've been visiting the Old Town (in Tallinn) more often. There we go to cafes, stores and take photos of cool places. In the forest we just love breathe the fresh clean air and do photoshoots in the nature. I'd love...

Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation - Review

Image
The lady in the makeup store talked me into buying this.  Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation is  lightweight and hydrating, this special formula blurs imperfections seamlessly while nourishing your skin at the same time.  It is very similar to Max Factor's Face Finity Foundation. Miracle Match contains hydrating ingredients, vitamin B and E. Enhances the look of your skin for a healthy looking finish Blurs imperfections The hydrating formula creates a natural, dewy complexion Lightweight for seamless blending Sadly there were only 6 shades in Estonia and I bought the lightest shade they had Warm Almond 45, but a shade lighter would be perfect. The smell is a bit unpleasant, kinda biscuit-y, but it disappears pretty quickly. The texture is a bit thicker, but blends nicely leaving skin smooth. This foundation is medium to full coverage. Foundation is buildable, but I'd suggest to use less. If you want a matte finish, then apply a mattifying powder. It...

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo & Conditioner - Review

Image
I have read many good reviews about Aussie and lately I've been into natural products, so I picked up this shampoo and conditioner. Aussie has many different choices for shampoos, but since it's winter and my hair tends to get dry, I needed to find moisturising products.  The scent is kind of chemical-ish, it's not bad, I just find it a bit unpleasant. Shampoo gets nice and foamy. The bottles could be prettier, but I like that they take less room in the shower.  After washing with these products, my hair is softer, definitely not dry and feels great. Hair is light and soft, yeah really soft. After a while my hair gets frizzy, which is definitely not good. Great shampoo and conditioner, but nothing really special.

Changes

When the new year started, everything kind of changed and I felt like I was thrown back into school. So much homework and tests. It's so stressful, especially because I have to go to high school and I want to get into a good school. I know that in 9th you have to study harder, but it was all just slapped into my face. With fighting blemishes and studying, I'm trying not to get stressed and keep calm. Because stress can cause breakouts and my skin is doing better so no. Also I'm trying to stay healthy and fit, because I don't workout so often anymore.  I have become a tea lover. I'm still trying different teas, but currently my favourites are chamomile and rose hip teas. Tea is really good for you, because it contains water, which is necessary for life, it contains herbs that have different benefits (like, rose hip has antioxidants and vitamin C). I drink tea with honey, which is antibacterial. So that has helped me keep calm and healthy.  I also have been eating ...

DIY Coconut Oil Hand Scrub

Image
When winter arrives, my hands always get super dry. I use many different hand creams, but sometimes it's good to scrub off dead skin cells and moisturise hands with natural coconut oil. This DIY hand scrub is actually really easy to make. You need: Coconut Oil Sugar Jar (optional) Essential oils  Take few tablespoons of coconut oil and put it in a bowl or mug. Then melt it in a microwave.  Pour the oil in a jar. Take sugar and pour that on top of the oil and mix. Add sugar until you get this nice soft consistency or until it looks like melting snow. (Note: It shouldn't be too runny or dry). If you want a nice scent to the scrub, just add few drops of your chosen essential oil. You can decorate the jar if you want. How to use: Wash your hands first (Because you don't want any germs in the scrub. It might expire faster.), take a small amount of scrub, rub it gently on your hands, rinse and dry. After that you can apply hand cream to make hands even more softer. ...
